These limited edition prints are archival quality reproductions of the tiny watercolour landscapes from my 50 day Future Oceans project in Fall 2016. Professionally printed by Fidelis Art Prints on a softly textured bright white watercolour paper. Prints are 4 x 6 inches with straight edges. The painting rests in the centre of the paper, confined to a 37 x 37 mm square - just like the original painting. Prints are embossed with a raised circle and signed by Marisa in pencil.

  • there are 25 prints in this edition.
  • for now, these prints are only available to order on June 16th, 17th and 18th, 2017
  • prints will ship before June 28th

🙋 Ocean Advocate: Jackie Hildering, @marinedetective
Jackie is a biology teacher, cold-water diver, underwater photographer, and humpback whale researcher living on Northeast Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. .
In 2011, Hildering received the Vancouver Aquarium’s Murray A. Newman (MAN) Award for Excellence in Aquatic Conservation and in 2010 recognition from DFO Director of Oceans, Habitat and Enhancement for her contributions to the “preservation to the enhancement of the salmonid resource of Northern Vancouver Island, British Columbia, has helped ensure a better future for all Canadians.”
.
🌎 Location: Northeast Pacific Ocean, BC, Canada
“This is a photo of the Bull Kelp forest ('family'), a habitat for approximately 750 species and up to 32m in length. Marine algae, from the microscopic to these giants, they produce approximately 70% of our oxygen!”
.
✌️ Action: On her work as the Marine Detective, Hildering says, “It’s my handle under which I work to raise awareness about life in the cold, dark NE Pacific Ocean and illuminate the fragility, beauty, and mystery there. I hope the name suggests the correct humility. I want to share what I learn so that it may lead to greater knowledge, appreciation, and positive action for the Ocean to which we are all connected and upon which our health depends.”
