Today's painting is inspired by Emma Hume, brought to me by Michaela Montaner of Pacific Wild. 👋👋👋
From Michaela: Em is a lawyer at Ratcliff & Company LLP where she specializes in aboriginal and environmental law. That said, since we met in the 9th grade, more than anyone I know, she's been dedicated to living the change. One of her small, radical acts not listed below was introducing me to Pacific Wild. Little did I know I would end up working there, thanks also to her encouragement.
From Emma: 📷 I try to work daily, in small and big ways, to protect the lands and waters that sustain the incredible diversity of plants and animals I am hopelessly in love with. Some days that means riding my bike (even in torrential downpours), other days it means using the law to fight for Aboriginal rights and territories. I spend a lot of time at a desk and often wonder if I am doing enough. On hard days I try to hold moments like this, in the world's last remaining wild places, top of mind and close to my heart.
These limited edition prints are archival quality reproductions of the tiny watercolour landscapes from This Wild Road. Professionally printed by Fidelis Art Prints on a softly textured bright white watercolour paper. Prints are 5 x 7 inches with straight edges. The painting rests in the centre of the paper, confined to a 2 x 2" square - just like the original painting. Prints are embossed with a raised circle and signed in pencil.
there are 25 prints in this edition.
